Easter in South Tyrol is very religious, but also a funny period. So on Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter, for example, who stands up as last in the morning, will be referred as the "Palm Donkey".
On the same Sunday, children form brooms from olive branches and arrange them with colorful loops and bring them to the consecration at the church.
The dyeing of the brightly colored Easter eggs traditionally takes place on Holy Thursday. Together with Easter ham, bacon, horseradish and traditional bread, they will be brought into the church for the consecration on Holy Saturday or on Easter Sunday.
And the Easter Bunny hides many colorful Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies in the spring gardens in Alta Pusteria!
The Hotel Laurin with team wishes you all a beautiful and colorful Easter!
